The Benazir Saheed Youth Development program will give free skill development training to the unemployed youth of Pakistan at well known training institutes and will also give a =n allowance for the youth, whilst they are under training. The program has been launched to address the socio-economic turmoil in Sindh. In 2008-09, the government initiated free skill development training with a monthly financial assistance through BBSYDP.
The BBSYD program achieved various milestone and was later converted into Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Human Resource Research and Development Board. Candidates with ages from 18 to 35 years can apply under this program, which has been funded by Sindh Skills Development project (Component-I). Private sector institutions have been integrated in this program to help train 55,000 candidates.
Candidates will be selected on teh basis of academic qualifications and teh available seats. Candidates from low income families will be preferred. An allowance of rs 2500 will be given every month with an additional Rs 1000 to Rs 3000 for transport, depending on location.
Forms can be downloaded from bbsydpsindh.gov.pk and can also be collected from the office of provincial coordination unit, respective district offices and deputy commissioner’s office.
