THIS is apropos of Fawad Hashmey letter ‘Beheadings in Saudi Arabia‘ (January 23). The writer has stated that that convicted persons in different crimes in Saudi Arabia should be deported to the respective countries from where convict persons belongs.
But the thing is if these convicted persons are deported to their countries than many people who fears of death and don’t do unlawful things (mostly drug trafficking) will think that if they will be caught they will be deported instead of beheaded in Saudi Arabia. This may cause increase in drug trafficking and crime rate may also increase in Saudi Arabia.
The writer also has given reference of US – based Human Rights organizations that they criticize Kingdom policy but it is pertinent to mention here that many US – based Human Rights organizations also accepts that Saudi Arabia is one of those countries where crime rate is very low because of strict punishments.
