Pakistani government has banned many organizations because of different reasons. These organizations vary from being political, religious, sectarian or ethnic.
Some of these groups were banned because of militancy while some were banned under US pressure. Government provided no details for banning any organization and some have filed petitions calling the ban unjust. The updated list of these organizations is as follows:
