Karachi: The Sindh Minister for Industries and Commerce, Abdul Rauf Siddiqui, has resigned from his post citing negligence on his part in the Baldia tragedy which took more than 250 precious lives, leaving hundred of families helpless and dependent on others, local news channel reported.
According to the media reports, the resignation has come in the wake of country’s worst industrial disaster which is also considered as deadliest fire incident in the world.
The resignation of Minister of Sindh Rauf Siddiqui who is affiliated from Muttahida Qaumi Movement has been sent to Governor Sindh, Dr Isharat-ul-Ibad.
While speaking to the media, the provincial Minister said that he has requested the Chief Minister Sindh to compensate the affected families as much as he could.
