Interior Ministry announced Bakra Eid Holidays for Pakistan from 21st August till 23rd August. day holidays starting from 21st August (Tuesday) till 24th August 2018 (Friday).
According to notification the Eid holidays for 2018 are as follows:
21st August (Tuesday)
22nd August (Wednesday) – 1st Day of Eid
23rd August 2018 (Thursday) – 2nd Day of Eid
People criticized this notification and said that 24th August (Friday) should also be a holiday because it is the third day of Eid.
If government announced 4 day holiday the it will became a week long holiday as government offices are also closed on Saturday and Sunday, similarly many private firms are also closed on these days.
Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Adha are the two religious celebration which are among declared public holidays in Pakistan. On Bakra Eid people perform Hajj in Saudi Arabia and Muslims around the globe sacrifice animals following the Sunnah of Ibrahim (as).

Last year government also announced 4 day holiday and many were expecting the same this year but the notification was different then past practices.
