The present conditions of Pakistan have led people to turn their thinking towards religion. Earthquake which struck Pakistan in 2005 was a very disturbing event for the nation and Floods 2010 have added more grievances to the list. Both disasters are sort of supernatural and not under the control of any ruling authority.

Such scenarios have changed the thinking of Pakistani Nation and they are thinking that it might be Azaab e Ilahi on us which is prevailing for so long and everything is getting worse day by day.
There are plenty of SMS circulating around the mobiles to recite different Ayats and Duas to prevent Azaab e Ilahi. Renowned scholars have given fatwas on this and they are also claiming that it is Azaab e ilahi which is imposed on us.
