Karachi: A setback for Pakistan Cricket Board that Cricket Australia does not allow their players to play Pakistan Super League (PSL). According to media reports, Cricket Australia is not satisfied with Pakistan’s security that’s why Australian Cricket Association would not support any contracted players to participate in PSL. Pakistan Cricket Board also offered a life insurance of $ 2 million for the international players who participating in PSL but the International Union of Cricketers were not impressed by this move of PCB.
Before this, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has turned down the tour of Pakistan due to security issues. Along with FICA England’s player association has advise international players to stay away from PSL.
This is first time in history that any board has publicly refused to participate in League. PSL will be started in March 2013.
