Vice Admiral Asif Sandila has been appointed as Chief of Naval staff. This decision was taken after Zardari- Sandila meeting. He will replace Admiral Noman Bashir who will retire on October 8. A media web claims that four names were under consideration for this post. Asif Sandila was appointed as Vice Admiral on January of last year.
