Lahore: Police and Lahore District Government Officials raid in Singer Annie Khalid Wedding ceremony. Police raid on ceremony after time limit violation. Police reached at location after 10 PM and tried to arrest Annie Khalid Husband Malik Noureed Awan. Before Police could arrest Groom, scuffle between Noureed Awan’s relatives and district government officials started. During this all drama, Malik Noureed Awan successfully went from event with Annie. Departure ceremony was held in disorganized manner.
Police arrested two persons and also registered FIR against 15 others. Annie’s father and Father in Law are also among 15 people. Malik Noureed Awan claimed that police demanded 15 lacs bribe and after rejection, they started fight. SP Aziz Bhatti Police station rejected these claims.
It’s worth mention here that Annie Khalid Nikkah ceremony already happened in July 2012. On other hand, Geo News reported that Noor–ul–Ain who is famous as Annie Lhalid was hospitalized on wedding day. According to AwamiWeb correspondent, the ceremony was delayed due to Annie illness but police didn’t know about details and raid on wedding ceremony.
Malik Noureed Awan has also asked Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif to take notice of this case. He also said that he will take legal action regarding this mishap against responsible officials.
