Private airlines and Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) have drastically increased their domestic fares.
The tickets are now too expensive because of the upcoming Christmas, winter vacations, and New Year’s Eve.
The main reason for the hike in ticket prices, according to reports, is a major difference between supply and demand. On the other side, the price of airline tickets for foreign travel is also soaring.
A PIA aircraft from Karachi to Islamabad now costs more than Rs. 36,000 for one-way travel, and Rs. 71,000 for round-trip travel.
Similar to this, Airblue now charges Rs. 35,000 for a one-way flight from Karachi to Islamabad.
Serene Air now charges Rs. 38,000 for one-way tickets from Karachi to Islamabad and Rs. 65,000 for round-trip travel. Air Sial offers one-way flights from Karachi to Islamabad for Rs. 45,000, while round-trip tickets now cost Rs. 80,000.
It is worrying for travellers that the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has struggled to maintain balanced flight rates.
However, it is anticipated that prices will drop dramatically after the holiday and winter break.
