China’s national flag carrier Air China has announced the increase in routes for Pakistan on its Beijing-Islamabad-Karachi route. Now Air China will operate 7 flights in a week while previously they number of flights are fewer.
The decision of increasing the flights came after China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has resulted in increased travelling between professionals and employees of the two countries.
Zhao Lijian from Chinese embassy said that CPEC has increased the business opportunities for Air China after which the decision of increasing flights was taken.
Due to CPEC thousands of Chinese employees through their parent organization have arrived in Pakistan. A Chinese newspaper is also being published from Islamabad which claims that there are at least 400,000 Chinese citizens in Pakistan.
Recently Thai Airways also announced the addition of 5th flight on Bangkok-Islamabad because of increased demands between travel partners and passengers.
