Islamabad: The Federal government has appointed grade 20 officer Ahmed Kamal Khan as the managing director of Pakistan Housing Authority. He has been appointed for this post after the retirement of Tariq Peerzada. The post had been left vacant since 7 months and the affairs were handled by the joint secretary housing Tariq Waqar Bakhshi.
Pakistan housing foundation is a Public Company registered with Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan under Section 42 of the Companies Ordinance, 1984. Its main objective is to eliminate the housing shortfall in Pakistan and solve the issue of sheltterlessness. It provides low cost housing units to low and middle income groups of Pakistan. These houses are provided on ownership basis. Several hissing units have been constructed by PHAF since 1999 at the prime location of the federal and provincial capitals.
Pakistan housing authority aims at providing high quality housing facilities with all the amenities and with a high standard construction. These housing units are kept within the affordable range of the people. PHA has successfully completed the construction of ground plus 3 building apartments and its target is to construct a high rise building apartment at Maymaar Towers in Karachi.
