Pakistani team members were recently fined for violating the regulations, after they came back to their Sydney hotel 45 minutes past their curfew. Sources state that Shahid Afridi and Ahmed Shehzad were among the eight players who were fined for coming to their hotel late. The players had gone out with some friends for dinner and failed to return on time. The team management has fined the team players Australian 300 dollars (US$230).
Manager Naveed Cheema, a former military man, stated that the matter was taken care off. The team members had apologized to the management and had promised to abide by the rules in the future. The players have been warned against such violations in the future, stating that if any sort of violations are committed by these team members again, then they will be sent home immediately on the first available flight. So boys be careful before you decide to have a boys night out.
Pakistan team will face their arch rivals India in their first match of the Cricket World Cup 2015. The team has been placed in the Pool B of the 14 team tournament. The world cup is set to start on 15th February 2015.
