NEW YORK: American newspaper “New York Times” has claimed that after the current situation arising after the Kabul attack and killing of Burhanuddin Rabbani, Afghanistan wants to establish close relations with India and trying to defame Pakistan.
According to New York Times, the current visit of Afghan President Hamid Karzai to New Delhi was the clear example that Afghanistan is avoiding Pakistan.
The newspaper said that after the attack on Leader of Peace Council, Burhanuddin Rabbani, US Embassy and other incidents of terrorism the Afghan government is thinking that the secret agency of Pakistan ISI is behind these incidents, while Pakistani government and ISI refuted these allegations.
The newspaper also said that after the strategic and trade cooperation agreements between India and Afghanistan on Tuesday it shows that Afghanistan wants close relations with India; meanwhile India also wants to eliminate the interference of Pakistan in Afghanistan.
The news paper claimed that the Afghan officials accused that Pakistani government is not cooperating in the investigation of Burhanuddin Rabbani assassination and refusing to provide information; meanwhile it would be expected that Pakistan would show more anger on these new allegations of Afghanistan.
