Lahore: Shahbaz Sharif Chief Minster (CM) Punjab and Dr. Kadir Topbas Mayor of Istanbul launched their first batch of taxi service in Lahore, where initially they have introduced 100 taxis, here on Tuesday. Taxi is fully equipped with highly and updated gadgets. CM said this will attract more investors in transportation business.
On the question about fare charges Turkish Mayor said, “There will be no need to negotiate the fare. We’ve set the tariff for the first three kilometers of the journey at Rs120. For the rest of the journey, every kilometer would be charged at Rs35”. It is been long time since Pakistan and Turkey government trying to improve their bilateral economic friendship.
After successful launching of A taxi they both set in and drove through the town. Mayor Dr. Kadir Topbas travel different places of Lahore by Metro Bus service, he traveled from Ittefaq bus station to Azadi Chowk. Further on he visited Badshahi Masjid and offer Nawafil.
