Renowned Pakistani journalist and anchorperson Hamid Mir has left GEO News and will now host his political affairs show on GNN.
This was revealed by journalist Najia Ashar through her tweet in which she welcomed Hamid Mir for joining GNN and becoming part of the newly launched news channel.

Hamid Mir is among Pakistan’s most famous journalist because of his struggle for freedom of media. He is among those few journalists who have been vocal about basic human rights for all.
G News Network is a news channel by Gourmet Foods which is known because of its successful chain of bakeries in Punjab. The owners of GNN purchased Jaag TV from Samaa which was relaunched recently as GNN.

Hamid started his journalistic career as a sub editor and reporter for daily Jang. Later he worked as Editor for Daily Pakistan and Daily Ausaf until he joined Geo News in 2002.
In Geo he hosted a public affairs show ‘Capital Talk’ which was continuously aired in the past 16 years except when PEMRA banned his program.
