Emergency are supposed to provide 24/7 emergency service & acute care to patients but many people are complaining that at the time of Sehri there are no doctors in certain hospitals.

When asked they were informed that all doctors are on break for Sehri. He alleged that they waited one hour before the patient was treated. He questioned ‘What’s the point of emergency ward when patients have to wait one hour for doctors in emergency?’
Other believed that it was not possible that no doctor and staff was present in the emergency to treat the patient.
Ali, a doctor, said he himself had many sehri and iftar in the Emergency. He further explained that the emergency of LNH consist of 5 stations Paediatric Bay, CP Bay, Acute Trauma Bay, Male & Female War.
He said that during Sehri & Iftari the teams are split into two so that one performs the duties in emergency while others do sehri or iftar.
It is believed that the problem is more prevalent in small clinics and hospitals where only one doctor is present in the emergency. When he takes breaks there is no one to treat the patient.
