Noor Jehan is a resident & political activist from Peshawar but is mostly known because of being first cousin of Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan (SRK). This year she has decided to contest elections from Pk-77.
She is a member of Awami National Party (ANP) but in General Elections of 2018 she will be participating as an independent candidate. She lives in Shah Wali Qataal which is the old area of Peshawar city, just adjacent to renowned and historical Qissa Khwani Bazaar.
Though Noor Jehan and her cousin Shah Rukh Khan have been separated by the partition but both families still maintain close contact. Noor Jehan has met her cousin twice in her life and hopes to meet him in the future.

She revealed that Shah Rukh Khan visited Pakistan twice in 1978 as a school boy and later in 1980. During his last visit he stayed in Peshawar for more than one month.

Noor Jehan wants to focus on the problems of her constituency and women empowerment. Previously she served as councilor from the area which reflects her long political struggle. Currently her political campaign is being run by her brother Mansoor.
