The regulatory authority of civil aviation of Pakistan, Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has launched helpline numbers. These helpline numbers are launched for 3 big cities of Pakistan, i.e. Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. According to the the announcement made by Civil Aviation Authority on official social media account, this helpline has been introduced to facilitate senior citizens, special and unaware passengers at the airports in these cities. Helpline number facility is free of cost and it will be further expanded soon for other airports of various cities of Pakistan. Previously, Pakistan Counter Terrorism 1717 Helpline was launched.
According to the reports, this initiative has been taken by the Civil Aviation Authority according to the National Aviation Policy-2015, which had been approved by PM Nawaz Sharif. Through this helpline service, all the senior citizens would be able to conduct the whole procedure of departure and arrival, without standing in queue. To avail this service, senior citizens, special and unaware passengers should have to tell their Name, Airline PNR Number, Airline Flight No. and Contact No. The sources of CAA said that the authority will also launch many other services as well soon.
