KARACHI: Special court of anti-terrorism has issued non-bailable arrest warrant of MQM chief Altaf Hussain, the nominated Karachi mayor Waseem Akhtar, senior leader of MQM Farooq Sattar including 25 leaders, allegedly involved in assisting inflammatory speeches.
It is pertinent to mention here that chief of MQM Altaf Hussain had made a telephonic address from London on july 12 this year in which he castigated Pakistan Army while terming Sindh Rangers a political party.
After Altaf’s criticism on Pakistan Army, over 100 cases of terrorism were lodged across the country against him whereas many cases of terrorism against Altaf were also lodged in different police stations of Karachi in which counter-terrorism provisions were included.
Workers of many different political parties and citizens of Karachi lodged FIR’s in Giddap city police station, Sachal police station, Bin Qasim police station, Steel Toown police station, Malir Cantt police station, Quaidabad police station, Sakhan police station, Site police station, Super Highway police station, Sohrab Goth police station and others.
Police presented charge sheet during the hearing of the case in anti-terrorism court in which 25 leaders of MQM were charged in accordance with section 12 of criminal procedure act.
