Lahore: Director Operations Punjab Food Authority, Ayesha Mumtaz has conducted a raid on Shezan Factory. A special squad of Punjab Food Authority under the supervision of Ayesha Mumtaz, inspected the whole factory of Shezan International, situated at Bund Road Lahore. During the inspection, it has been found by the team that the company is not following the hygiene rules and all the food material is kept in the open air. The authority also found rotten carrots and turnips in the Shezan Factory, which are used to make pickle and different sauces.
The food processing area in the factory was also unclean and female food handlers were working without any medical certificate. After watching the condition of factory and raw food, Ayesha Mumtaz ordered the officials to immediately seal the factory of Shezan International and put heavy fine. The factory has been sealed by the Punjab Food Authority for unidentified period on the violations of rules and regulations.
People while commenting on social media regarding Punjab Food Authority raid at Shezan factory, said that Ayesha Mumtaz is doing very well for the health of the citizens and other Govt. departments should also learn from this brave lady.
It is to be noted that Shezan International Limited is a popular Pakistani beverage manufacturer and produces various products including soft drinks, juices, ketchup, and jams.
