Karachi: The famous actor and drama writer Shakeel Siddique said that it is our priority to give the people of Karachi quality entertainment in this present era of problems and sufferings. He said that in the current conditions, the people of Karachi had to face a lot of troubles and were under a lot of mental stress. Shakeel Siddique expressed his views at the script distribution ceremony at the Arts Council.
Shakeel was distributing the script of ‘Teri Eid Meri Eid’, which has been directed and produced by director Zahid Abbasi and is a production of Abbasi theatre Arts Promoters. The ceremony was also attended by the former minister and leader of Muttahidda Qaumi Movement Ahmed Saleem Siddique, Secretary of Arts Council Mohammad Ahmed Shah, Kashif Grami, Asjad Bukhari, actor Rauf Lala, Ali Hassan, Irfan Malik, Dil Sheikh, Actress SHanzay and various others.
Shakeel added that quality entertainment was today’s necessity and that we give priority to the taste of the viewers. Director Zahid Abbas said that the admirers of stage dramas are not far away from theatre. Actor Ali Hassan said that we are enacting plays for the people who are really into theatre. Shakeel Siddique is a unique writer. The drama ‘Teri Eid Meri Eid’ is a comic play.
