Karachi: Engineer Naveed Qamar, Head of Department of Education, Jamat-ud-Dawah, said that most of the modern educational institutes are injecting materialism into young minds. There is absolutely no need of Western philosophies to be incorporated into educational curriculums. The optimization of educational institutes and training of their teachers requires a wide-scale setup and strong measures.
While addressing an audience that included various principals and teachers at Markaz Taqwa, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, he further added that teachers’ training workshops will be conducted in all campuses of “Times Schools” in Karachi, before the summer vacations.
Engineer Naveed Qamar claimed that an attempt is being made to exclude Islamic and ideological content from the school syllabuses, in order to make education secular in nature. Today there is a dire need for an extensive educational reform that can resist the foreign encroachment of education. All foreign conspiracies in the field of education will be exposed.
Moreover, he said that the educational system of Lord Macaulay is yet to be removed completely from our syllabuses. The purpose behind Ad-Dawah School System is to deliver modern education along with an Islamic upbringing. A great effort needs to be made at all levels to deliver an educational curriculum based on an Islamic ideology, that has the potential to prepare responsible individuals capable of managing the leading roles of state and economic system of Pakistan.
Engg. Navid Qamar stressed that since schools, colleges, and universities are breeding grounds of next generation and future statesmen, the West has a strong desire to control the young minds and brainwash them into following their philosophies and man-made worldly systems. Therefore, and independent educational system needs to be devised.
