Lahore: according to sources, Secretary General Office instructed the IT section of the party to formulate a separate email for the special Committee of accountability and Discipline formed by Imran Khan. Doctor Shireen Mazari was annoyed at this initiative and emailed in response to this to say that the secretary general office should proceed through the information secretary and that the coordination of the secretary general office was defying its authority.
Shireen Mazari apparently used intense words in this email which provoked Jahangir tareen to respond through email to say that ‘enough is enough’ and that whatever duties are undertaken by the staff in his office is totally by his permission. Shireen further responded to Jahangir Tareen by saying that she was not to be addressed as one of his employees and that this is a political party not some corporate business and that Jehangir Tareen should not intrude in other people’s business.
Shireen also sent these emails to Naeem-ul-Haq, Doctor Arif Alvi, Saifullah Niazi, Ejaz Chaudhry, Andaleeb Abbas and the social media team as well. Imran Khan has taken this issue seriously and has decided to appoint a neutral person for the secretary of information. The names of Asad Umer and Shafqat Mahmood are under consideration, but these two are not interested in taking this position for the time being.
