The people of Mirpurkhas were treated to the beautiful fragrances and dazzling colours of thousands of flowers when the 56th annual flower exhibition of MirpurKhas went underway at the Gulistan Baldia Lawn. The event was inaugurated by the deputy commissioner of MirpurKhas Asif Ikram.
Flower exhibitions offer people a chance to witness the amazing beauty of the botanical world. It helps them to alleviate their tensions and relax in a most pleasing atmosphere. It is also a good opportunity for the gardeners to showcase their skills and receive recognition. DC Asif Ikram expressed his wish that more government and non-government organizations would participate in the nest event and that these exhibitions should be conducted regularly as they promote positivity among the people.
More than 300 seasonal and 100 different species of flowers were displayed in the exhibition with stalls set up by Sindh Horticulture Research Institute of Mirpurkhas, director of Nara canal Ghulam Mustafa Ujjan, Mirpurkhas sugar mill, central Eid Gah, Cheema house. Various schools also setup their stalls.
The exhibition was visited by a large number of schoolchildren and locals. Notable personalities like the director of Sindh Horticulture Research Institute of Mirpurkhas, director Nara canal Ghulam Mustufa Ujjan, director of Private schools, Abdul Hameed Sheikh, deputy director of Agriculture Extension of Mirpurkhas Yar Mohammed Khaskheli, Kareem Memon and S.A. Khan were also present at the event.
