Quetta: In a town of Loralai a man and a woman was declared as criminals of adultery due to which the man was killed and later on the woman was stoned to death on a sentence declared by two local scholars. The woman has done adultery and according to Shariah law she should be stoned to death, stated in the sentence order.
Dead bodies of both were buried with blood on them. The local police have submitted the details to court and will dig the graves to take out the bodies for post mortem, Deputy Commissioner Loralai. The woman was a mother to 3 children.
After the sentence was issued from the local scholars the woman ran from the area and took shelter in a house to save her life but was caught, added Commissioner Abdul Wahid Kakar. On getting information about the incident police immediately reached the place and arrested a scholar and brother of the woman. However, the other scholar escaped but his son was caught, police.
Including the scholar other four members are also arrested by police among whom one is the brother of woman killed. According to a well known scholar Mufti Naeem the incident was totally against the teachings of Islam.
Such punishments can only be implemented by the authority of the state. With implementation of the Islamic ruling system and the authority of the state it is forbidden for individuals to sentence such punishments, added Mufti Naeem.
