Every profession is noble. Teaching is considered to be a profession that gives respect and prominence to the figure imparting knowledge. Individuals capable enough can do well at the professions they are thought not capable of; hence they do jobs what they are assigned. Such is the story of a peon who is offering dual service in a Government college.
Sultan Baba is a peon at one of the government college of commerce. He holds Master degree in Arts. He graduated in 2005. After completion of his studies he got enrolled in the government college as peon. Considering himself to be capable enough of teaching English language at the institute, he applied for Grade 4 Credible Staff. However, his application was rejected by the authorities. [junkie-alert style=”white”] Sultan Baba has demanded through media to place some job for him, considering his degree and strong capabilities. He said that I have small children. Good job, earning would contribute in his monthly requirements and needs. [/junkie-alert]
The government college of Commerce lacks the teaching staff. Hence the peon does the duty of teaching the English subject. The principal of the college, Muhammad Rafiq said Sultan Baba teaches well. Students are satisfied with his performance. Due to the lack of the teaching staff, we ask him to do the job.
People like Sultan Baba need to be identified for their services and deserve to be given prestige in form of good job for their dedication and capabilities. It is saddening to see, that the hired people fail to do their jobs and an individual at their place is not recognized and accepted by his work and potential.
