Lahore: Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) has organized science competition PsiFi. It began on Friday. PsiFi’ 14 is a student run event, where students nationwide are provided the platform to showcase their science projects.
PsiFi’14 event head, Zahra Batool, sharing details of the event defined the competition as platform for various students to come up with innovative projects. Students get the chance to apply theoretical information to a practical one, she stated.
The competition is not limited to traditional science field only; rather mathematics and architecture are also introduced as subjects of application at the competition. In 2010, PsiFi was introduced. Three years in a row, the competition has grown to an event. The initiative is aimed to transforming students into young scientists. The competitions allow the interested candidates to come up with their projects.
Skill, talent and confidence of the participants are boosted through winning. Organizers see the event as effort to adding creativity and intellectual element each among the participants as well as to the competitions held.
The PsiFi competition held would end by December 30. Participants from Qatar would also be part of the event, this year.
