Dubai: It is quite interesting and astonishing to report that a Pakistani man who was declared dead by the UAE doctors on Tuesday, breathed again after 30 minutes of his death at a hospital in the United Arab Emirates.
According to media report, the young man in his 30s, was hurriedly shifted to Saqr Hospital in Ras Al Khaimah by his friends and colleagues after collapsing at work. The local doctors diagnosed him as a dead man with no heart pulse, apnea and dilated eye pupils.
However, about 30 minutes after a recovery operation, the patient’s heart began beating again and doctors decided to shift him to the intensive care unit ICU, Emirates 247 reports.
“He had all signs of death and was diagnosed as a dead man but doctors still decided to try and revive him,” the report quoted the Arabic language daily Al-Khaleej.
He was on the ventilator and diagnosed with other respiratory systems for four days before he opened his eyes and woke up, the report added.
“It was an unusual case and our doctors exerted sincere and tiring efforts to save this man,” said Dr Abdullah al Nuaimi, the Hospital’s director, adding that the patient is now in normal condition after having an infarction.
