Karachi: Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Amir Munawar Hasan has said that dual educational system was producing sense of inferiority and materialist minds. He said that besides conventional education, teaching the guidelines of the holy Quran and Sunnah was also essential for the progress and prosperity of upcoming generations. He expressed these views while addressing a prize distribution ceremony among position holders of intermediate in disciplines of pre engineering, pre medical and general science. The ceremony was held by the Islamic Research Academy, on Saturday evening.
Addressing the ceremony, he raised the point before participants of the ceremony that why don’t the society adopt an appropriate approach, despite of all the educational achievements, modification in curricula and provisions of degrees. He said that the Pakistani society in particular and entire Islamic world in general, needs such pious students equipped with the abilities to reform the society, besides obtaining modern and Islamic education. He said that injustice and prejudice could be eliminated from the society, when each and every individual of the society would play its due role. He stressed the need to form a book friendly environment so as to produce a corruption free welfare state, based on Islamic teachings and principles.
Shedding light over the ongoing scenario of the society, he said that a labor of today remains fail to meet both ends, despite of working about 12 hours a day. The country was enriched with resources but acute hunger and poverty prevails just because of greedy and corrupt leadership. He said that new generation has proved that our youth has unlimited potential and urged students to produce a relation with the Allah Almighty and books so as to revive the Islamic Caliphate and a peaceful prosperous world.
On the occasion, JI Karachi Amir Muhammad Hussain Mehnati, Islami Jamiat Talaba Karachi head Waqas Azmi and others also addressed the ceremony. The graceful event was culminated at prize distribution among students, achieved distinguish positions: Samina Ismail Herani, Kiran Amin, Kiran Murtaza, Yahya Bin Shahid, Maryam Malik, Muhammad Zahir, Fatima Idrees, Sunbul Yousaf, Hina Hanif and Syed Ashab Ur Rahman. Prizes and certificates were also distributed among those, who hoisted a longest national flag in the University of Karachi on August 14.
