Karachi: The forceful implementation of discipline in the school located in the old city of Hyderabad in India has cost a precious life of 10th standard student as he was forced to physical punishment on Thursday. According to the local police, Mohammed Ismail Hussain, 14, a student of Royal Embassy School in the old city was surrendered by multiple complications after he was compelled to do sit-ups the whole day on September 4.
The police say that he was punished for a crime that does not deserve such a strict punishment as he was punished just for talking to his friends and an incomplete homework.
On that fateful day, class-teacher Mubina Begum caught him talking after he was warned again and again, so she decided to give him such a harsh punishment that took his life eventually.
“After doing a few sit-ups, his legs pained and he requested for mercy but the teacher persisted not to stop and by the end of school he was not been able to walk on his legs,” Ismail’s father Mohammed Siddique Hussain said.
The parents admitted him to the hospital but he could not survive.
“We have registered a case under section 304 (A) causing death due to negligence against the school administration and teacher,” ACP Sai Krishna said.
