Karachi: The Government of Sindh has announced the Provincial Annual Budget of a total of Rs 577 billion today in the Sindh Assembly for the fiscal year 2012-13. The deficit has mounted to 7.3 Billion rupees during the current fiscal year that was around 3.5 Billion the previous year, sources informed.
According to the details, a total of 2200 new schemes have been introduced in the new budget, announced today while a total of 161 Billion rupees have been allocated for ADP Projects.
For the agriculture sector a total of 12 billion have been allocated in the current budget while Rs. 5.5 billion has been allocated for the Agricultural Development Program.
Meanwhile, amount of nine billion have been allocated for education and 13 billion for coal and energy purposes.
The most important step the government has planned for the educational sector in the budget is the establishment of seven cadet colleges across Sindh and two universities in Larkana and Benazirabad. The restoration of Circular Railway project is also included in the budget 2012-13.
