Multan: Five men alleged of raping a woman in Fort Munro have given themselves in the custody of police on Sunday who were been escaped and freed after an attack on police station by armed tribesmen earlier, sources informed.
According to the TV reports, all the five accused rapists surrender themselves to Commandant Border Military Police.
Earlier, in order to investigate the matter, Chief Minister Punjab formed an investigative team led by Home Secretary Shahid Khan. The team on reaching Fort Munro was briefed by Police, Levies and Intelligence agencies about the matter.
The investigative team booked the statements of affected girls and also negotiates with the tribe leaders regarding the arrest of culprits behind the incident, after which all the five offenders gave themselves in the custody.
