Kabul: Afghanistan and its Law Enforcement agencies on Monday (16 April, 2012) regained the control of Afghan Capital after the attack brushed by Afghan Taliban. Afghan sources said that this was one of the biggest attacks launched by the Militants in Kabul of the whole war.
“All attackers are dead, the fighting is over,” Interior Ministry spokesman Sediq Sediqqi told AFP. He said that the he don’t know about the complete numbers of the Taliban who attacked the area as the body count is still not complete.
Kabul CID Chief Mohammad Zahir said that eight members of the security personnel were killed and other 44 including the five civilians are wounded.
This attack had left a big question mark on US and its Nato allies performance over the uncontrolled security situation in Afghanistan as Nato prepares to withdraw about 130,000 ground force troops by the end of 2014.
