Islamabad: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has handed over the NATO air attack issue to Parliamentary Committee on National Security. To review the ongoing situation after the NATO attack, the secession of Parliamentary Committee on National Security is due on Thursday (tomorrow). The committee will review the disputed mamogate and also judge the powers of the committee; meanwhile the committee received a letter on behalf of PM from the National Assembly Secretariat and asked the committee to recommend result oriented recommendations on behalf of government.
The committee is expected to recommend more strict proposals regarding the NATO cross boarder air strike. In this meeting the committee will be briefed by foreign office regarding the contacts of different countries specially China and Russia about the recent NATO air raid.
The defense ministry will also brief the committee about the NATO cross boarder air shelling on Pakistani check posts in Mohmand Agency area which killed 24 soldiers including two officers on 26 November. Similarly the committee will also be briefed about the decisions of the cabinet defense committee.
