At least nine more dengue patients were died in Punjab on Tuesday.
Mussarat 60, Yousuf resident 45 of Gujrawala died due to dengue virus at Services Hospitals; meanwhile Bashir Hussain 55, resident of Mandi Bahawal Din, Shaheen Sarfraz 35, resident of Radha Kashan, Ijaz Ahmad resident of Johar Town and Abudul Sattar died due to dengue virus at Jinnah hospital.
At least 247 people have been died of dengue virus in Punjab, out of which 222 are from Lahore.
According to the health department 17522 patients of dengue virus have so far been recovered from the disease.
On the other hand, Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif directed that all universities should submit the certificate of elimination of dengue larva.
While chairing the Dengue Emergency Committee meeting, Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif said 176 doctors and nurses will get training in different hospitals and establishment of Punjab Medical Research Cell Plan is initiated.
On the occasion, CM directed the provincial education minister and secretary education to submit report after visiting 60 private schools and also directed the health secretary to make plan for the import of ventilators.
He said that the distribution of CDs in the seminars regarding dengue virus in educational institutes should be ensured; meanwhile the secretary health informed the committee regarding the steps taken to overcome dengue virus.
