NED University of Engineering and Technology has stopped 900 students from promoting in the next semester. According to the media reports, students have been stopped from promoting in the next semester due to current changes in the procedure of examination in NED University, from annual examination to semester system.
All these 900 students have been failed in the previous semester, due to which the administration of the university has stopped them for promotion. According to the reports, the administration of the NED University of Engineering and Technology has given permission to all these students to participate in the current session starting from May or June with the term to pass the semester with the required CGPA.
If all these 900 students of the university failed to get 2 CGPA or minimum 64%, they will not be allowed to promote for the next session. All those students who have failed to get the required 2 CGPA or 64% in the previous semester, procedure of their promotion for the next class is stopped and they have been stopped to join next class by the administration.
On the other end, NED University students have showed their concerns on this procedure and said that the previous batch was allowed to attend next class, after being failed in the previous class.
