ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rehman Malik said that police and Rangers have arrested 90 expects on different charges during surgical action in different areas of the city, our correspondent.
Malik, in his statement, said that targeted operation is underway against the criminals and the security forces are taking quick action following the information received by intelligence agencies.
He said that police and Rangers have conducted 84 raids so far and arrested 90 suspects from different areas used as hideouts by these criminals. A large amount of ammunition was also recovered from their possession.
The Interior Minister called for supporting the idea of unity among the people in the city. He requested to the masses to collaborate with the Rangers and police during action against the criminals.
Rehman Malik said Rangers and police were taking chock-full action against criminals and they were successful in their efforts. The Interior Minister also said that the security forces will continue operation against terrorism until peace is restored in the city.
