Islamabad: As many as 35 billion rupees have been disbursed to flood affected families so far under Watan Card including more than 945,591 recipients enrolled in second phase of Watan Card project who are also being provided with case assistance.
Spokesperson of National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) said here on Thursday that at the moment this aiding programme is passing through Grievance Redressal Phase and enrollment of remaining beneficiaries is also under way.
According to the reports, Rs. 339 million have been distributed to Azad Kashmir, Rs. 143 million for Gilgit-Baltistan, Rs. 13 billion for Punjab, Rs. 9 billion for Sindh, Rs. 10 billion for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) and Rs. 384 million for Balochistan.
The total activated Watan cards in Azad Kashmir were 9,260, 3991 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 276,651 with 113 un-verified cards in KPK, Punjab 340,191 with 170 unverified cards, Sindh 302,505 with 393 cards not verified, and Balochistan 12,993 with 6 cards not verified.
Around Rs. 34 billion had already been spend in the first phase of Watan Card across the country including Gilgit- Baltistan and AJ&K with contributions from Federal Government as well as the provinces.
