Lahore: Around 40 houses of Christian community have been torched by angry mob, here on Saturday afternoon. According to details, nearly 3,000 protesters entered in Badami Bagh Area. The Protesters were belongs to not any political party, media sources confirmed. A small part of protesters tried to make panic by burning houses of Minority community. Police tried to control situation but protesters threw stones and in result, dozens of Police official including SSP Operations Sohail Sukhera injured.
Demands of Protestors:
Earlier, A Muslim Shahi Imran accused Savan alias Bubby for blasphemy violation. Imran Filed FIR against Bubby. Today when media asked him about this tragedy, he said that he is not responsible for this as he left location when a group of people came to burn houses. The group of 3,000 was came Joseph Colony on Noor Road in search of Savan. On other hand, Police told Police told media that they already arrested Savan and shifted him to undisclosed location.
Shafiq Ahmed was leading this protest gathering, media reported. Another media report told that around 100 houses affected in this attack but major media sources reported 40 houses. After this incident, many Christian residents left the area, local newspaper reported.
