370 Suicide Bomb Blasts Have Been Recorded In Pakistan So Far: Report

karasaz-karachi-blast-2007Pakistan has faced 370 suicide bombs which killed more than 5,000 Pakistanis. Suicide Bombing was started around 17 years ago in Capital Islamabad and till now it hasn’t finished. First suicide attack in Pakistan was recorded on 19 November 1995 in Islamabad when terrorists attacked on Egyptian Embassy with Explosives containing truck. 15 people killed and around 60 wounded in this massive blast. It’s also worth mention here that it was the only suicide attack in Pakistan before War against Terror was started by USA.

Second suicide blast was recorded in Former President Musharraf era during 2000. On 6November 2000, three citizens died and three injured in suicide blast from a woman in Karachi. This Suicide was occurred outside Sheraton Hotel Karachi on 8 May 2002 which got life of 17 people including one French Engineer. 22 others also injured in this blast.

Fourth suicide blast was also happened in Karachi which 12 people. Suicide bomber blew himself outside American consulate on 14 June, 2002. Almost 45 people got injuries in this targeted attack.

2003 was also not good for Pakistan and first suicide attack was reported in Quetta. This attack was occurred in Imam Bargah which killed 54 citizens. Three suicide bombers were jointly attack on Imam Bargah. Second suicide attack of 2003 was happened in Rawalpindi in which terrorists targeted Former President Pervez Musharraf. On 25th December two suicide bombers tried to attack on Musharraf but they couldn’t do this. 15 innocent lives lost and around 50 injured in this attack.

In 2004, 82 killed and 400 injured in four suicide attacks.

In 2005, suicide attacks were remained same as previous year i.e. 4 but killed 83 people and injured 230 people.

9 suicide blasts in Pakistan killed 163 citizens in 2006. More than 200 people slightly and serious injured in these attacks.

2006 was also not good for Pakistan and it was most bad year for religious leadership. 49 died, 95 Injured in Suicide attack at Nishtar Park, Karachi. It was a 12th Rabi ul Awwal Event in Metropolitan.

2007 came with suicide attacks in all over Pakistan especially in Rawalpindi/Islamabad. After Lal Masjid Operation, couple of suicide attacks killed hundreds of people. According to stats, 57 suicide attacks killed at least 842 people. And over 2000 Pakistan injured in 2007.

Attack on Benazir Caravan on Karsaz Road and attack on Aftab Sherpao were also happened in 2007. Around 140 people died in two Karsaz Blasts.

In 2008, 61 suicide blasts killed 940 and wounded more than 2400 people.

90 suicide attacks killed 1090 people and injured 3462 people in 2009.

2010 was also among most worst year for us when we lost 1153 people and other 2954 injured. 58 suicide attacks were occurred this year.

2011 came with but Pakistan couldn’t change, we suffered more and more. 625 people killed only in suicide attacks. 1386 people were also suffered directly by getting injuries. 44 blasts were recorded in 2011.

Only one week left in ending of 2012 but suicide bombing is looking unstoppable task for our rulers. 33 suicide attacks killed 254 people in Pakistan and 700 injured. Suicide blast on ANP Leader Bashir Bilour is also among these 33 blasts which took his life.

It’s worth mention here that many of Injured are living Disable person life. Hundreds of people became permanently disabled, thousands of people lost their love ones and still this count is continuing. Our democratic leaders blame Taliban and other banned organizations for these activities. On other hand we are still confuse on War against terror. One group says that it’s our own war but on other side a large percentage believes that it was imposed on us by foreign hands. We should unite to end this war by taking bold steps before it will become too late for us!
